Since 2001 we have been home brewers making traditional British ales and some European beers.
Here's one of our favourite recipes:-

   Abbey Ale
1 can Brewcraft Premium Imported Belgian Ale
400g light honey (not eucalypt honey)
   500g dried wheat malt extract
   500g light dried malt extract
   20g Sazz hop pellets
6g pkt Muntons Premium Gold yeast

Boil 3 litres of water and add the honey, wheat extract, malt extract and the contents of the Belgian Ale kit except the yeast. Stir this mixture until everything has dissolved. Mix the hops with 2 cups of water, bring to boil and simmer for 2 min. Pour through strainer into hot mixture. Put 10L cold water in your fermenter, add the hot mixture then top up to 20L with cold water. Once the temperature has dropped to around 26C add the yeast and allow to ferment for six to ten days. Bottle as usual using a 5ml of sugar per 750ml bottle, keep warm for a couple of days for second fermentation and in a months time the beer will be ready. It might get even better with age, but we've never managed to keep it !!
